Introducing the remarkable Lizette, who started her journey in the historic town of Kimberley. After completing Grade 12, she embarked on an adventure to Ireland to study Psychology in Dublin. Eight years later, in 2010, she returned to South Africa, where a fateful meeting with the award-winning producer and presenter Johann Botha transformed her life.

As a Production Assistant and presenter on Johann’s wildlife show, Projek Aardwolf, Lizette discovered her passion for television. This experience was a fantastic stepping stone, and when the contract ended, her desire to continue in TV was stronger than ever. She then joined Villa Rosa, diving deep into the soap opera genre and learning invaluable lessons.

In 2016, Lizette’s path led her to Red Pepper Pictures, where she worked as a Production Manager on various shows spanning reality, travel, and documentaries. Her talent and dedication quickly earned her a promotion to producer. She produced acclaimed programs such as Huisgenoot: Ware lewensdramas, Kom Ons Trou, Nou!, Weg! Agterpaaie, My Matriekafskeid for VIA, and Kwarantyn for kykNET. By the end of 2020, Lizette took a bold leap and founded Lizette Strydom Films. Since then, she has served as Commissioning Editor for both VIA and kykNET, developed two seasons of the popular Huisgenoot: Ware lewensdramas spin-off, Vlees en Bloed, and produced content for Showmax, kykNET, kykNET NOU, Sony, Spotify, and Momentum.

Currently, Lizette is the driving force behind the upcoming seasons of Huisgenoot: Ware lewensdramas and Momentum Geldhelde/Money Heroes, with numerous exciting projects on the horizon. Lizette’s journey is a testament to her unwavering passion and relentless drive in the world of television.
